What rate will I get when selling leftover foreign currency?

When selling online you will receive our ‘online rate’ which is our best rate. These rates are displayed here and change daily. Once you have placed your order we will only hold the rate for 2 days. Please note that branch rates will differ and are not displayed online, so we would recommend ordering online to secure the online rate.

How many foreign currencies do you buy?

We buy a wide range of foreign currencies (over 60) including many exotics, so the chances are we’ll be able to purchase your leftover travel money from you.

I want to sell a currency that’s not listed, what should I do?

Occasionally a currency that we accept may not be on our website but we still might be able to help - please email our customer services team on customerservices@nmtravelmoney.co.uk or call 01438 878 162 and they will answer any queries you may have during normal office opening hours.

What is the maximum amount of travel money that I can sell online?

The maximum amount you can sell online is £2,500 worth of currency using our Sell & Collect service, or £750 worth of currency in one order using our postal sell service (if you need to sell back more please place a second order). If you wish to order more than this then please visit your local branch.

Can I sell more than one foreign currency at once?

Yes – as long as the total amount is not more than £2,500 worth of currency for Sell & Collect orders or £750 for postal sell back orders, you can add multiple currencies to your order.

Do you buy Travellers Cheques?

No unfortunately we do not buy Travellers Cheques.

How quickly can I collect my GBP?

If you place a Pay & Collect order and select the collection date as the day you place your order, providing the branch is open you can collect your order immediately.

I don't have an email address, can I still place an order?

Unfortunately not, a valid email address is required in order to transact online with us so that we can send you an email confirmation for your order. This needs to be taken into branch for the collection of Sell & Collect orders. If you don’t have an email address you can sell your leftover travel money in branch.

I can't print off my email confirmation

You can take your order reference number with you and inform the cashier that you couldn’t print you confirmation, or show the cashier your confirmation on your mobile phone.

What do I need to bring with me when collecting my Sell & Collect order in branch?

The person that ordered must collect the order, this is so that our staff in branch can ensure that the correct person is collecting their order. Please bring with you valid ID (Passport, Driving Licence - UK or EU photo card, or National ID card), the payment card used and your order confirmation. The name on the order must match the name on the card and I.D. provided and you may be required to verify your pin (please note this does not take any additional money from your card).
